Which information do we need?

We need an identification card or passport.
We need the information of your doctor, if you are registered at a Dutch general practitioner.
If you use medication, please provide a list of all medication you are currently using.
The cost for a consultation is covered when you have a European Health Insurance Card

Do I need to see a doctor immediately?

The GP out of hours service is there for you in case of (minor) medical emergencies. You can contact us for an appointment on weekdays from 17.00 till 8.00 and in weekends from Friday 17.00 till Monday 8.00.
We only treat patients who are in urgent need of medical care.

What is a (minor) medical emergency?

  • Unexpected, disturbing illnesses or injuries
  • Sudden severe pain
  • High fever
  • In case of a chronic condition or an increase of symptoms

It is important to call for an appointment in case of a medical emergency. When you call, the assistant will assess your situation by asking you a few questions. That makes it possible to prioritise the urgency of you complaint. Sometimes she can give medical advice by phone or you get an appointment with one of the doctors on our location.

It is possible that you have to wait, even with an appointment. Patients with more urgent complaints get priority over less urgent patients. Therefore the time of your appointment is an indication of when it is your turn.

No, you cannot. We are only there for medical emergencies. If you have an illness, injury or complaint which is not urgent, then make an appointment with a doctor during the day.

Yes, when you urgently need a new prescription, you can call us and choose option ‘Herhaalrecept’

At the urgent care centre a phone call is also seen as medical advice. When you have insurance, the costs are covered by your health insurance. If not, the invoice will be sent to you.
