If you are calling on behalf of someone else, make sure to have all of their patient information to hand.
What counts as an emergency?
An emergency concerns symptoms that arise suddenly and for which treatment cannot wait until the following business day. In other words, you are urgently in need of care.

Out-of-hours pharmacy
If you urgently need medication outside of office hours, you can go to the out-of-hours pharmacy.
You will need a prescription (or repeat prescription) for this, which you can obtain from the hospital or your own GP.
